How did you black out the TACOMA on the tailgate and sides?

I ordered mine minus the rack as well. Dealer messed up and I got it anyway. Refused to pay for it so they took it off the cost. I'll post up some pictures for you tomorrow.

    Just the basics
That ez lift thing was what I tried to do but in a non-mechanical/electrical way when I had my tonneau cover on. Very cold camping that way but I didn't use tent material and it wasn't too efficient. Very cool idea.

The Tacoma on the tail gate is a vinyl sticker that a member sells here on the 3rd gen parts section. All other emblems I removed and painted.

Quicksanders, need your opinions on what to do with my OR grill and OR Chrome rear bumper. They're driving me nuts. For reference of final look, I have a 3" Lift, Black TRD Wheels and 285 BFG KO2's coming.

    OR Grill:
Option 1 - Replace with a Factory SR Grill (thanks qnyla for the pic)

Option 2 - Replace with a DB Customz Grill & Cube Lights, TOYOTA would be painted in Quicksand

Option 3 - Keep OR Grill and dip or Paint in some fashion

    Rear Bumper (currently Chrome):

Option 1 - Paint the Chrome side pieces in Quicksand (same as the OR's with the Tech Package). If I do this I may do the black vinyl tailgate mod or the black TACOMA sticker in the embossed portion of the tailgate.

Option 2 - Paint the Chrome sides pieces in Black so the entire 3 piece bumper is Black.

I would wait until after you get your wheels, tires, and lift installed. I hated the grill when I first saw it; however, it has grown on me to the point where I may not change it. Line-x or flat black paint on the grill and bumpers would look good:) full disclosure: not a quick sander, like the color though...

I put these up on the "where have you off-roaded your Tacoma today" thread. I don't know how to copy links to other threads.

Yes sir. It is a little squaty in the back with the tires and tool box full for my wife's shopping. We only make it to the big city a couple of times a year so I buy 200 pounds of tires and my wife buys 400 pounds of Ikea shit!

It's just a camera / image thing. It's not different but yes the image makes its look like that.

Woody, I am keeping the grill for now, not in love with all the options out there so far. Don't dip the stock one, keep it stock or replace with something, so option 2 but again, keep it black, don't colour match that choice.
The rear 3 piece black bumper and lower tailgate wrap is what I am going to do. I decided on that well before I saw that "GoPro" dealer truck image. The trick is finding the exact wrap to match the OR fender and plastics as close as possible. I would love to see some textured optioned wrap, which I what I am investigating.

Well, after being committed to Quicksand and placing an order, I stumbled on a deal for a white truck that was just being unloaded. White was my second choice, but everything else fell into place. I still think quicksand is awesome looking, so enjoy your trucks!

Does anyone know where I might find some spray paint that is a close match to the Quick sand color? I have a little project I want to try on some spare emblems.

    Thank you

Check out this thread. The first post he lists the website where he purchased the paint for his grille mod.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/bbp-color-keyed-grille-mod.398636/

If you are feeling lazy it's automotivetouchup.com

Later in the thread he gives each colors code and quicksand is 4V6.

Good luck and post up what ever you end up doing.
