3rd Gen Quicksand thread

How'd you get an off-road with color match bumper? Your first picks are sport with color match fenders also, then looks like black fenders... :?

Edit, got your truck confused with another poster...but still ? on color match bumper.

 

I believe the technology package comes with color matched bumpers.

 

correct. you can see the back up sensor which gives it away.

First ever Toyota truck. Coming from a Wrangler past. Love the truck and the color. Only color I would ever get. Had this baby for 4 months now. Hard as hell to not fully rush into suspension and tires. But looking forward to it down the road.

Mods so far
-CBI Push bar (center painted Quicksand)
-30 inch E-series Rigid light bar (combo) mounted on push bar
-Cali Raised 3 toggle switch metal plate
-All Pro off-road Apex rock sliders with fill plates
-CBI Bedrack in smooth aluminum
-LED interior lighting
-Hondo Garage head unit knobs (best mod ever)
-Pro grill

Future, some sort of Icon suspension , wheels and tires still not decided. Get complements all the time and 100% glad I didn't get another wrangler this time!

Super excited. I've been stalking you guys for over a month waiting for my Quicksand TRD Sport, DC, SB, 4x4, 6spd to come in. I traded in a 1.5yr old jeep renegade because Quicksand was just too beautiful;

Quick plastidip of the grill. I like it much better than the black chrome and it's a heck of a lot cheaper than a Pro grill.

Got the Salex console organizers and a bed mat now as well.

I'm bummed they drilled the front bumper. Need to find an undrilled center piece.

Got my SSO bumper installed today all my myself. It kicked my ass but it was worth it.

 

looks good- did you take any picts of the install? how did the winch attachment and bumper cutting go? Any adjustments to the front suspension to handle the added weight? thanks

 

Haven't driven it yet. I did use the cutting notes from the 2016 SSO thread post #555 and it didn't leave a gap as shown on the white truck. The winch was a bitch and I only say that because of how the bolts have to be run through a very small point in the bumper but nobody will ever steal your winch. I didn't bother with photos during the install I'm just not that focused. I really don't have much to add to the SSO directions other than take your time and learn how to dismantle clips without destroying them.

 

Got this Tacoma TRD Off-Road 4X4 a week ago. Once I get my finances straighten out lol, I plan to have a bumper winch and a slider for starters. Any ideas what the best ones out there?
