My 2017 has been trouble-free. No leaks or problems and has been used hard. Almost all of its 100,000kMs have been adventuring and off-roading.

    Nothing major yet.
I don’t see it being real. He should post some receipts. Why would he need to replace multiple of the same thing? That just doesn’t seem to add up.

My truck has 31000 miles and has seen tons and tons of redline and beating. 10k oil changes too. No issues so far other than my passenger rear drum locking up a couple times

Yeah I've been posting in a thread I made as well as the taco discord. Dealer had it replaced it and then kept coming up with excuses on why the fix didn't work and redid it. I have more emails than receipts but could post them later when I have time

My 2017 is 6MT. I remember early on it would make some noise when pushing the clutch pedal in. Also some of the shifts felt notchy and the shifter would require a little bit of force to pull out of gear. I had the clutch replaced under warranty and was informed of overtorqued pressure plate bolts that was causing clutch drag and heating u the flywheel too. Everything has been good since then with the exception of the white paint is peeling now.

Wow I feel like I 100% have had this issue since new. At times with this truck I have almost questioned if I can still smoothly drive a stick even though I never seem to have any issues in my other cars.. I wonder if my 2020 is still covered..

Thanks for my use case this is highly unlikely, I'm not crawling or doing Baja 1000s haha, just unpaved / dirt /gravel roads to get to dispersed campsites, etc.

2020 with 23k miles. A/C TSB fixed + driver-side rear squeaking drum fixed. Both fixed under warranty. That's the only issues I've had.

Um, my gauge cluster clear cover vibrates every now and then. I push on a corner and it shuts up for a few months.

46k miles, only thing addressed were recalls (fuel pump and 3rd brake light) and i had a dirty belt from driving on mountain dirt roads that caused a belt squeak issue. poured some water on the belt and its no longer an issue.

2 years of ownership come May 14, 2023.

Had my Final ToyotaCare Service today and completely satisfied with Dealership experience.

I am over-the-moon with the past two years of driving a vehicle I selected for me.

So much to look forward to in the years to come. :)

WOW, that sucks. My 2017 has been a great reliable truck since Dec 2016 and have ~78k on it.

I bought my 2020 SR5 4x4 truck new in February of 2020. It was built in Mexico in December 2019. I have driven it 48,000 miles without any problems or issues. It is a stock truck including the "chin strap" ;) I do have an ARE CX shell and Toyo AT3 tires. It is my daily driver and driven into the Southern Appalachian mountains for recreation on a weekly basis. I live in northern Georgia.

This truck has hauled my whitewater canoes and kayaks with a lot of miles driven on forest service roads. It has been regularly serviced at the dealership every 5,000 miles. Oil has been been changed on 5,000 mile intervals. This summer I'm driving it to Idaho for a trip down the Middle fork of the Salmon. I will drive close to 5,500 miles over a three week period that includes long forest service roads. I'll be hauling a raft and camping gear. We'll see how it holds up to a long road trip!

Ask about reliability and you get a ton of posts from people with 30k on their trucks over 5 years. We need a sticky 3.5 high mileage thread.
