I'm approaching 19,000 miles on my 2018 TRD Sport DCSB and haven't had any issues to date and I'm not really expecting any since my '96 4x4 Tacoma has 414,000 trouble-free miles on it. The '96 has never been back to a Toyota dealer in my 24 years of ownership.

18 off-road dcsb here. 29k miles and two years. Zero problems with reliability. One recall for TSS sensor on my OEM Pro grille swap they addressed without issue.

Primarily used as a commuter and Home Depot runner. Oh, dog hauler too.

I have a 17 OR That I bought with 20k on it and it has 23,5k on it now and owned it for 7/8 months. I’ve had it in the shop multiple times , finally they are repairing a out of spec axle issue. I do like the truck but it’s been a less then par experience overall with it.

'19 OR AT. 7000 miles and 0 issues. A couple of things took getting used to, like cold start rpm's (15 deg) and a/t shifting. But so far awesome truck. Colorado mountains, Utah desert, snow... no problems.
Most of those 7000 miles are highway up and over mountain passes through the colorado rockies and on 4wd roads that would punish a subaru. This truck is barely broke in.
Test drove a manual but didnt like the long throw with 6 gears :/. May regret that in the long run, but it's still a sweet truck.
Btw, no sunroof so more head room, no bsm or other safety/convenience b.s. to break. As basic as I could get with all the O.R. perks. Time will tell if Toyota keeps their reputation!

    Work in progress...
Blower fan for the AC/heat broke. Toyota fixed it under warranty. Got a recall for "blower fan" and tossed it in the trash. I live in California, guess what, Recall for "blower fan" and could not renew the registration on my tacoma since it wasn't repaired under "recall." I took it in and Toyota "replaced" a perfectly good blower fan. I paid some late registration fines, kiss my ass California, and now every thing is great.

Only 9000 miles but 1 year of lots of road trips, off road use, hauling shit etc. Not one problem.

31k. No issues so far and it used to see 110miles a day for work for about a year. Now it sees a lot of off-road.

My 2016 has proved very reliable so far. My only 2 complaints are the leaking third brake light (fixed) and the shit calibration Toyota had for the early trucks, which was resolved with a PCM flash. Ultimately I tuned the truck (ovtune). It's been smooth sailing over here.

Just because I like stirring the pot :stirthepot: lets beat the dead horse :deadhorse: some more on the 2.7 vs V6 in terms of reliability. I'll be waiting

Just rolled 21k in my 2019 and drove it recently from MN to Texas and back with zero issues to date. My only complaints are below:

    1. Wish fuel economy was a bit better
    2. Wish the cruise control worked better. I mean everything is functional and it's never failed, but it shifts around more than I like so I just don't use it.

Other than those things it's been a fantastic truck and has hauled more and gone places that I wouldn't think it could and it has done so without missing a beat or hesitating once.

I have a late build 16, almost a 17, and have nothing but a battery in 3.5 years.
Had the tranny flash done for improvement, but other than that, solid truck.
I tow 5k+ with zero issues.

    Oh man, lol.
17 with 49K miles on it, bought new.

    Rear diff leak Warranty
    Rear diff whine TSB
Rust in all 4 door sills Warranty/pre TSB
    Reverse shift delay TSB
    Hesitation delay TSB
    HVAC Blower campaign
And more I am probably forgetting

    All fixed 100%.

Still have low octane miss and my brake master cylinder seal leaks a touch. Oh and the frame rust thing going on now. Frame looks mostly ok though.

Otherwise all good and would probably buy again, like 85% probably.

Aside from the recent recall, affecting much more than just Tacoma, I have had zero issues with both our 19. One AT. One MT. 7000 miles one one and closing in on 20k on the other.

Got a 2016 back in 2015, no probs aside from the mentioned recall on the rear diff. Love the truck, sitting at 68k would buy it again, wouldn't pay much attention to the "who" has had the most issues, I'm sure one of the problems is blinker fluid always runs low!!!!

Reading this forum you'd think different, but I'm very happy with my 2016, 72K Kilometers on it, that's about 45K miles. Only issue I had was the air conditioning died, but the dealer fixed that for free 2 years after I bought the truck.
Very satisfied with the truck, it's solid feeling, no rattles, feels well built. I often tow two SeaDoo's or an 18' bowrider boat without any problems.

My '17 has been mostly problem free. Although the battery seems to be on its last legs and the goodyears tread was dead by 18,000 miles. Only has 21,000 miles on it now so time will tell i guess.
