100% stock 2020 SR SX with 29k on it.

Absolutely zero problems so far, not babied, driven hard and put away wet. I go by the typical Toyota service interval and pressure wash the undercarriage once a week in winter (salt roads here in UT). Zero rust, no squeaks, perfect performance of a fun little truck.

No stoppages or broken parts that would leave me stranded, but here are the list of dealer visits outside of regular maintenance. Did a windshield replacement around 1k miles. Chip spread into a large crack within minutes. New Battery (only got 2 years out of the OEM one).

    1) PCS sensor recall - completed
    2) Fuel Pump recall - completed
    3) Clutch TSB - pending; brought this in for a squeaky clutch. Dealer identified the TSB. Also, clutch sticking at first start up in extreme cold.

    2018 Tacoma around 8k miles.

Damn dude! Probably the highest mileage one I've seen so far. Any issues yet?

COVID put the kabosh on most of my driving. Working from home now. It has had 3 oil changes since I bought it, one per year. I did have the pleasure of driving out to South Lake Tahoe this past weekend, so was able to get about 500 miles on it. Sadly, the storms had already passed so I didn't even get to test the 4WD and new K02's.

Only 6k on my '21 SX lease...I like to for the most part. Only complaint so far is the intermittent 'vibration' between 35-50 mph. It comes and goes, higher pitched harmonic feeling, and mostly feel it in my feet. Took it to the dealer but of course when I got there and the tech drove it, we couldn't get it to do it. Of course...
Hoping its just bogus stock firestones.

I like it enough that Im taking out a loan to buy out the lease.

2017 V6 AC bought new in February of '17 - now with 35,000 miles. Not one issue and haven't had any recalls/notices. Just regular maintenance!

I know of at least two guys on here with 300k plus but they’re both rocking the 2.7. I think I’m one of the highest with a 3.5.

Nothing really so far. Just self inflicted wounds. I stripped the threads out of the oil pan. Hit 2 deer.

My throw out bearing squeaks sometimes but it hasn’t failed yet. Gonna need some front end bushings soon. One of the upper control arm bushings creaks.

Just consumables as far as maintenance. Oil, brakes, battery, tires.

Bought new mid-December of ‘17. Aside from the fuel pump recall, (I wasn’t having any issues with it) I haven’t had any problems. Best vehicle I’ve ever had. Plan on keeping it for a very long time. :fingerscrossed:

    Nothing major yet.
My 2019 had 9,300 with no issues. Had the fuel pump recall done right before it was traded in. I planned to keep it for a long time, but got offered a ton for it and the 2022 was only a few hundred difference.

I only have a few hundred on my 2022 and no issues yet.
It does seem the cloth seat covers don’t fit as well as the 2019 though. 1154E497-EB7D-4FC0-B017-1DF944D802AD.jpg

It seems like a majority of the trucks manufactured in the latter half of 2017 are pretty darn reliable.

The 2017 Tacoma is the pinnacle of Tacoma excellence! The later in the year the better! Mines an August 2017 built truck.. doesn't get much better :D:D:D
