Just to make it clear: the 2 auto lights wires are not there to make the car headlights go on when remotely started, they are there to make sure your headlights go off
when the car shuts down from the remote start session

I normally leave the headlight switch on the parking light. I then switch on headlights when I need them then turn them off when I'm done. I never use auto

Will this act the same as off or does the switch need to be in off position if wires are connected?

If you don't leave the switch in auto it will leave the parking lights on along with the fogs when the remote start turns off till the door is open

Maybe so, but they probably assume you have already applied power to the unit before plugging it in. I put it all together, plugged it in, and then reconnected the battery. At least a couple others have done the same thing and reported theirs worked fine as well. Even in your install video you mention nothing about which one to plug in first. It appears you did the same thing I just described, bud.

Does this only apply to those with auto lights? I do not have auto lights, but leave my lights set on drl.

You have to turn the switch to off. If left in any position they will stay on when the remote start turns off

4 but what's that got to do with this? All I've tried to do here is help the people having an issue and you swoop in an attack my attempt to do so. If what I did was "wrong" then you need to update your video because it is also "wrong", despite the fact that it worked fine for both of us.

Drop your issues bud and start trying to help people.

Directions state the plug sequence. Notice in the video it says refer to directions!

Your not helping anyone by saying what you did. You didn't follow the directions! Sure maybe nothing happen to yours but what happens when incorrect plug sequence effects them?

I used the 20-22's and they worked fine. I do think the 24-26's are the "proper" size but the 20-22's work well.

Whatever, back to my original post.... @Kennedyusmc did you check the ground crimp and was the battery disconnected when you originally plugged it in?

Yes, I actually redid the ground crimp because it fell off. I recrimped and soldered it into place.

I attempted a soft reset last night, though the instructions say to plug in a 4 pin harness while holding the reset button. I don't have said harness.
Either way, it settled down... I was cold and assumed that fixed it.

Got up this morning and went to tidy up the harnesses. When I picked up the unit it started again. I thought maybe there's a bad connection in the module. I stuffed it away, it settled again for 10 minutes, then started again... there's gotta be something in the module here. FML.

We'll get a new module out to you and see if that fixes it.

One thing to remember here is this is a electronic device. They are sensitive and sometimes you will get one that is just defective due to thousands made a year

Either way we will get you right.
