10 Months and 11,000 miles and I'm still not right in this seat!! I've done the 2 inch seat lift mod and my but is still in a hole, I tried seat wedge cushion made it worse, so now I have a folded bath towel in the rear hole on the seat so every time I get in and out I have to be careful not to mess up the bath towel!! And the seat is so dam Narrow that the bolsters dig in the side of you're legs so I'm squishing in my legs and crushing my Jewels!!!

    So sell or trade it?

Or are you going to pull a smitty and bitch and moan about how terrible the truck is but for some illogical reason keep the truck anyway?

I'm 6'-2" 250, my only "issue" is I wish the front of the seat was about 1"-2" higher. I've drove this thing on a few 5hr trips and am good. Never thought of unbolting and adding a few washers (wedges )..thanks for the tip.

10 months....if they are anything like the quality of the 2nd gen seats, just keep the truck a few more years. You'll forget you have Jewels or what they were once used for anymore....

Not safe to do as bolts could shear off in a crash, so do at you're own risk.. I'm so dam uncomfortable that I'm takeing that risk.. make sure if you do to youse #8 or 10 hardened bolts.

I wish I could lower the seat. Im 6'1 with long legs and I feel like I either have to be so far back or im too high. it would be great if you could just adjust the seat... never had a vehicle that couldnt raise or lower the seat

Good call. Wonder what grade the bolts are factory. You must be an engineer...no pun intended, I am as well. Just currently posting as I enjoy a few beverages and work on other projects...lol.

Funny thing is when I test drove mine I thought, damn these seats sit low on the front side (coming from a '12 WRX). Then agian, I like to be up on the wheel. I'll let my 5'-9" buddies drive and they push the seat back. Maybe I have a tall torso...lol.

Don't mind c4lvinnn his only contributions to this forum are name calling when anyone voices a different opinion and talking about smitty. Seats are comparable to gen 2 seats, its a midsize truck, still sucks when its something you have to sit in for a long time, never bothered me, I actually really enjoy the seating position on these trucks.

Even with spacers the bolts won't be the weakest point in the seat design. Your seatbelt is designed to keep you in the seat not the other way around, if that makes any sense.
