Hey guys! I found a really good deal some 3rd Gen take offs that were brand new. Included was all the suspension comments (minus leafs) from a 2018 quad cab long bed limited. I purchased this suspension set up for 300cdn and am installing it into my 2008 sr5 access cab long bed today (complete strut assemblies and rear shocks) Before the install my truck measured (from pavement to middle of flare) 37” in the rear on both sides (with tsb 4 leaf pack) and 35.5” on the front passenger and 35” on the front drivers side (yay taco lean lol). I will post tonight/tomorrow what the end measurements are! And the after photos.. Below are the before photosCE338725-A510-4713-B0EF-DF5E40118B6E.jpg

front is gonna go up an inch.

Also, make sure you get the proper strut assembly on the proper side so you dont have uber taco lean.

Cool. Also measure from the center of your hubs to fender bottom as well!

My Taco is stock with a camper top on it. The only thing I do is when it comes to replacing a stock part I use the best quality part I can to replace it.
Im glad I found this post found a good deal on TRD suspension off a 2017 taco gonna pick em up this weekend and put them on next week Ill try to remember to post pics. Thanks!

Hey dudes Suspension is in! Leveled it perfectly! Measurements after install were 37” in rear both sides (as expected) and 37.5” in the front passenger and 37” on the drivers side. Install went perfect and alignment was also done flawlessly. On the way home I went up to 120kmh and there was zero vibrations and the truck rides Waaaay better then the 10 year old stock bilsteins and is way smoother now, Highly recommend this addition to any second Gen! after pics below - D365BA43-2EDE-4883-973D-FA7175E6DD87.jpg C8DC468B-A0AF-4BA2-80AD-318352FEAEAB.jpg

I thought this was still a toss up as to what color dots for the driver's side. Your measurements still indicate a half-inch driver's side lean, so would it have been best to slip in a 1/4" spacer on that side too?

Re measured it today after 100 km of driving and it has settled a little more, it’s about a half inch lower then passenger side.. but that’s fine with me as you would never notice it..

Does this imply that one assembly is longer/taller than the other and if reversed would cause the driver's side lean to be even more pronounced? I thought I had read that the 3rd Gens didn't have a lean issue that the 2nd Gens had, so did Toyota change something on the newer frames to compensate? Just trying to prepare for my upcoming install in case I need to order a spacer.

Hey there after further driving it is now, even! I’m wondering if the ground I was measuring on was uneven?? We’re at about 37” everywhere

Bought me a set off a 17' yesterday! 5 miles on them. Found them locally which was a lot cheaper.
    Thanks for this thread @TacoCamping

I did this recently on my 12 sr5. Installed 17 OR suspension. The difference was night and day with the OR progressive springs compared to the sr5s. Love the ride

Less bouncy making the truck feel more firmly planted on the road. It may be the springs/shocks or the fact that the originals were 6 y/o. Either way you look at it, it was and upgrade for me
