Could you bump my order to early non anodized? No worries if it's too late.

Update: They started cutting the rails last week (seems that most of the lead time is for procuring materials, programming the design, etc). Initial timeline puts the un-anodized test rails to ship to me early next week. Fingers crossed that stands accurate. There is an updated ship date of 3 August on their website, so I'm looking into that.

I've been working on all the fittings. I've got a slew of fittings to play with. Once I get the test rails I will be able to mock and confirm what fittings work. This is important due to space constraints. Basically it's a price issue. If the standard fittings with 90's don't fit on the end of the rails, then low profile banjos will need used (those will fit for sure - but are 35$ each with 2-4 needed). I was also just shown another cost effective option that might work that I will test out.

As stated before, there is a huge variance possible on how you set this up. I will make an installation guide as well as demonstrate a few of the more common setups (parallel, linear, crossover). I will also provide all fitting sizes required to allow anyone to choose how much they want to spend or how far they want to go. I will provide this as soon as possible so you have time to order what you need before the rails arrive.

At this point what I will provide is as follows:
    - 2x Rails
    - 4x Mounting Bolts: M8 x 1.25 x 40
    - Bolts will be stainless. Due to cost, this is the best I will provide with the least chance of galvanic corrosion.
    - Fuel Pressure Sensor adapter: This has been quite a pain. As some of you know these trucks occasionally throw in a curve ball and use random european things. Due to the complete lack of options out there, I'm going to provide it. I have one on the way that looks to be the right fit. It will adapt the M12 x 1.00 (male convex) to 1/8 NPT. If it is correct, I will order them in bulk and provide them with the kit. It will then be on you to source the 1/8NPT adapter depending on your setup.
-There is good reason for this. If you use a crossover, you'll use an inline 1/8NPT. If you do Parallel or linear, you'll need a 90 degree fitting. I will demonstrate each of these and provide the specs for the fittings. They are all commonly available.

I HIGHLY recommend that whatever you choose, you run these rails in parallel, at a minimum. Running them linear won't save much in cost if any, and quite frankly will not give you the best chance to solve the fuel imbalance. I'm not going to waste my tuner's time running logs on a linear setup, because I don't think it's worth it.

Ok, just confirmed, there is a delay. The raw test pieces will still ship early next week, but the anodized pieces are set to ship 03 August. It's only about a 2 week delay.

James, appreciate the updates! I'm in no rush and would rather have a quality TESTED mod since many of us have been on the other end of the NON TESTED parts. Just know that I for one am impressed on your considerations for material selection, design, and application. And, that's coming from someone who sees a lot of RDT&E and access to all the national labs!

Supposedly shipping the non-anodized rails today...already behind schedule and I'm wondering if they forgot until I asked about it yesterday.

I miss the days when people didn't make excuses and have nonsense delays all the time.

Non-Anodized test rails have arrived and are installed on my Twin Turbo setup. Two sets are going out to Supercharger setups in the next day. Plumbing has been worked out. Everything has been pressure tested and is good. Just need to go do some logs.

I'm going to recommend two setups here moving forward:
    - With Damper: Dual feed from the rear, inline damper on rail with crossover on front.
    - Without Damper: Dual feed from the rear, sensor adapter with crossover on front.

You can pretty much do whatever you want, but honestly with these two I can give you an exact list of what you'll need.

I haven't run it without the damper yet, but will here shortly. I am going to put together an exact list of what you need plumbing wise for either setup. There will be restrictions on what you can put where. The passenger front MUST be a banjo ($35 for a high flow Radium banjo). Nothing else will fit. Everything else will be standard fittings. I'm only going to list AN and push lok setups. You can find cheaper equivalents if you want, but that's up to you.

One other thing I want to point out to everyone. The machining was off by like 1/100th on the mounting bolts on some of these. Because these will be anodized, you may notice some machine marks on the bottom of the mounts, where it mates to the intake (you'll never see it installed). The rails will fit snug, but this will not affect anything. I'll compensate for this on future runs. I will test fit every rail prior to shipment to ensure fit.

Additionally I'm going to machine a very slight lip in every injector boss. This will make the injector seals start to compress easier so you won't lose your minds trying get the seals in the holes. In the future, I'll have them machine this lip in. Again, bottom of the rails where the injector seats and will never be seen.

A Fuel Pulse Damper is not necessary for this setup. I ran it today without the damper and there was no discernable noise from the rails. The high pressure fuel pump and the fuel evap solenoid are the loudest things on these trucks. Performance wise, I could not feel any difference. I do not have the equipment required to test fuel oscillations or flow though, so I can only tell you how it feels.

In this application, with the large bore of the rails and the huge increase of available fuel, it's unlikely the fuel pulses from the pump and injectors are having any kind of noticeable effect on the fueling. I would only worry about a damper if you are looking to get every ounce of power out of this engine and want to make sure you have perfectly smooth fueling.

I am still waiting for my tuner to get back to me, but I can tell you right now, this has made a noticeable difference to my truck's performance. I have twin turbos with 10psi of boost. Prior to this I would get light stuttering and hesitation from rich misfiring (because my first few injectors had to be run overly rich to ensure the last two got enough). Now all of my injectors are getting every bit of fuel that they need and my fuel appears to have balanced itself.

I can't say for certain yet, since I'm still waiting for my tuner to check my logs, but I expect I now have more room to reduce my fueling without risking being too lean on my last two cylinders. I will share his findings with you all as soon as I hear something. Performance wise, everything is smoother. I'm in and out of boost faster. My throttle is more consistent. Overall it feels much better already, and it hasn't even been fine tuned yet. I have high hopes.

Is anyone interested in pre-assembled hoses?

I realize the hoses can be daunting to some and not everyone may have the tools or experience to do AN hoses, so if enough people want this, I can save you the trouble of having to order a bunch of different parts from a bunch of different places and paying multiple shipping fees.

I will only offer this one way. It will be 6AN PTFE hoses with PTFE fittings, and no damper. I will assemble all hoses and fittings so all you need to do is transfer your sensor and then connect the lines to the rails.

This will not be cheap, but it will be cheaper than you ordering all the exact same stuff yourself. If you want to use cheaper lines and fittings to save money, then by all means you can do that. What I would provide is simply for the sake of reliability and longevity. PTFE is the longest lasting and most reliable for fueling purposes.

I still need the supercharger testers to verify my plumbing setup, but expect to pay somewhere around $180-$200. It would ship with the rails so no additional shipping required. If enough people are interested I can do a bulk order of everything to save on shipping.

Due to limited post, I’m speaking for him as well. @mada.yotas would also like his reserved one as a pre assembled set

So I have some bad news. The pressure sensor adapters I ordered appear to be on a national backorder. I only got 10. I told them to keep the order going and try to get me the rest when they have them.

Apparently this one company is the only dealer for these stupid things. I've been looking everywhere for another company that has them, but they all seem to be owned/operated by this one company. I'm going to keep looking, but I'm also going to see if someone can make these things for me in the meantime.

I apologize for this stupid hold up. I will ship the first 8 that are on the list as soon as I get the rails. In the meantime I'll try and get this adapter thing figured out.

Alright. I may have found an alternative for the fuel pressure sensor adapter. A little more expensive....but not a ton. If all goes well then I'll have enough to ship to everyone on the list.

Additionally, my tuner got back to me and basically said that the fuel pressure is way more consistent now. This was expected with all the additional flow though. We are going to start fine tuning my port injection and see what we can get out of it.

Fueling is reported as much more consistent now. My fuel pressure fluctuates a lot less. My tuner and I are making adjustments, but after 1 revision the truck feels stronger and more responsive. My AFRs on each bank are staying close to each other, which means there is no imbalance in fueling anymore as expected.

I was running richer across the board once the rails were installed and my tuner is pulling some of the fueling. This is good news since it means less load on the fuel system and more headspace if required. Can't wait to see the supercharger results.
