Mine is more than long enough to get to the left side console if I wanted it to. In fact I have it coiled under my driver seat for right now until I can drill the hole under the steering wheel.
I also have more than enough AV cable to reach anywhere in the front of the cab.

Wow ! Not so here but I removed the head again this afternoon and re-routed the switch and toggle wires to the left.
Much easier too, a lot more room there, I bet you could fit a small boys arm in there ! All is well.

Might have zeroed in on part of the problem at least, my toggle connections were a little hinkey. Spent some time with that this afternoon.
Anyway, things seem to be OK for the moment even if the GPS had me one street over from where I was.... eww boy.

    Word to the wise ?
Forego the factory Nav and spend the saved money on an aftermarket unit.
    Entune Nav sux.

I am sorry to report that the voice and location were spot on for the drive home. It even rerouted me for traffic updates with Entune active. I was also listening to music over BT at the same time.

If there is anything more that I can do to help, please let me know.

Got mine in the mail yesterday and installed it today. It was very easy following the YouTube video instructions. I routed all the wires down to the left, coming out to the right of the gas pedal. I ran the two black wires for the rear camera switch to the blank switch hole below the headlight switch, and hooked them up to a rear camera switch from ch4x4. I couldn't decide on a good spot for the bypass switch, so it is on and hidden for now. I got a cheap media player off Amazon and have it hooked up to the av input. So far everything is working great and as expected. If I had to try and find any negatives about the experience it would be that the two black wires for the rear camera switch are hard to strip for some reason, like the insulation didn't want to come off. But other than that it was an easy install. Very happy!

I haven't tried to strip those wires yet, but speaking of stripping, the strippers that you can see on the floor in my post below are just awesome:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...erride-smartphone-mirr.501617/page-14#post-16

I've used them on everything from romex to fine gauge wire. They take a ton of frustration out of that. I think they were less than $20?

Here is the detail of these black wires.
These wires are mil-spec and the best of its class. Very expensive wires but since i have in stock so you have them.
Once stock is depleted, cost less wires will be used.
Also red silicon tape used on the harness. It is Mox tape which
"They bond irreversibly to provide an insulative barrier that is resistant to moisture, oxygen, ozone and corona over a wide temperature range (-65 to 500 deg F). Arlon STD silicone tapes provide superior electrical insulation with a dielectric strength of 300 VPM minimum at 356 deg F."
