For anyone going for their recon, I got the stock '16 rear flaps for the Tacoma that you could use and return to me after. I bought them so I can pass and probably going to take them off right afterwards. Just hit me up.

edit: wait, so 16+ don't come with mud flaps as standard equipment?

the '16 dont come with mudflaps stock, but you can get them as an add on. i got to take my truck back to 4 Wheel parts later this week to make sure everything is tightened up nice, at that time, ill have them cut the u bolts (i know they look terrible right now).

damn, so just to pass safety and recon, you have to go and purchase mud flaps. wtf  I would think the average daily driver would want them to keep their paint nice.

i do a lot of diving and the mud flaps would keep the truck a lot cleaner, but i cant stand the look of them on. i cant wait to take them off. i think most guys who lift their trucks would think the same way and i dont want others t waste their money on buying mud flaps just to pass recon so they can borrow mines. just buy me lunch. hahaha

I agree with that, I can't stand mud flaps either. but people who lift their trucks probably make up such a small fraction of Tacoma owners... I'm just wondering what the thought process was for Toyota to make it an "add on", instead of standard. if they didn't change the super white paint process, I feel bad for those guys. f'ing rock chips galore.

If you want the PREMIUM & TECHNOLOGY PACKAGE, Servco Pacific bundles it with the TONNEAU COVER. You can't get the PREMIUM & TECHNOLOGY PACKAGE alone. Grrr! :(
