Most forums for vehicles I've owned in the past have had a thread like this, where handy features that are undocumented or buried in the owners manual (for those that don't read it cover to cover) are posted. If there's another thread like this floating around, I apologize!

    * Tapping the turn signal lever either up or down will flash it 3 times without having to actually turn it on. My Terrain had this feature and I loved it.. it's something small but significant when you get used to it. When test driving the Tacoma, out of habit I did it and was pleasantly surprised to see that it worked.

    * Clip under console lid, perfect size for storing tailgate/glovebox key. Saw this buried in a thread elsewhere.

    * Change vehicle settings to make the handle touch unlock/lock all doors.

Any others floating around out there?

Can you post the link to where you can make the handle touch unlock all doors? I remember seeing it somewhere but couldn't find it.

Any drawback to doing it that way?

It's in the vehicle customization settings on the display. You can also change the light time out and a couple other things.

Yes- security for females etc as it will not unlock all doors when you are in a dark parking lot etc.

The display next to the speedometer? I didn't really see anything in settings but maybe I was looking in the wrong place.

You can also do this by pressing the lock / unlock on your smart key for 3-seconds until you hear the three beeps and you will also see the display show all doors on the mid
