Asking a serious question. Can somebody please explain why having 20 inch rims is worse for off-road capability? If we are talking human beings then it's what is inside that counts. If we are talking off-road capability of a truck then surface area of tire, not what is inside that should count right?

Makes less sidewall of tire available which turns into less grip, less cushion, less rim clearance. Big 20s are going to be much heavier as well. Basically you will be running a low profile tire which is garbage offroad

LOL there's another Tacoma in the picture can you spot it LOL IMG_1654.jpg Think this might help someone on specs for wheels. I had a hard time finding something that wouldn't rubb. 20x9, 0 offset, 275/55r20 ko2. Sit flush no rubing or scrapping at all on 100% stock suspension. I'm really surprised they fit so well. I took the front mud flaps off to make little more space. I have only driven home and up my driveway on incline. Tires have a little more road noise then stock OR tires. Slightly stiffer over bumps.

Body mount is close but clears with wheel turned to furthest position. Gap only gets better from there.

Front bumper underneath looking up with wheels turned. Tire tucks right in.

Love the looks of your truck, thinking about going with the same rims, but only in a 17" rim. Do you know the offset is of our stock rims? I want most all the tire to be under the truck, sticking out 1/2" would be fine.

Stock 16s wheels +30 offset. A 20x10 -12 offset will stick out about 1 inch further then my truck. Both have the same backspace 5 inches. I used when looking for wheels

Now just add the bushwaker fender flares. It'll tie the truck and wheels in very good.

Your truck has a very aggressive stocky look to it.

Does anyone know what offset our stock rims are? Does negative offset put the rims further out or ?further in

Negative offset would put the wheels out further. Positive brings the wheels in closer to the control arms. Stock wheels are +30. Compare it to 0 zero offset and negative -18. Both examples are pictured above.
