Hi all. My first main forum post and I may as well jump in w a big ticket item $$. Truck is 99/04 US spec (I think NY) 4WD , 3rz manual trans , w TRD package.
209k miles on odo. Idles lumpy and apparently cyl #1 compression is low.. I will test that this weekend.

My stock cast manifold looks to be cracked right in half at the half way point between the two sides. I just bought this truck so it is new to me. I do know the oil was changed very regularly but other maintenance might be iffy. We had to patch the frame in one small spot , previous owner missed frame recall at the time and Toyota Canada would not do a US spec anyways ... go figure.

Anyhow I take my VIN to the Toyota dealer and they tell me I need 17141-75030 ... everything I have read here states I need 17141-75080 for the mini header w EGR valve port. Please help! It’s a custom parts order and if I order the wrong one it is at least two weeks delay and an argument w the dealer I’d like to avoid. Part has to come from Calif.

I’m sure the engine has an EGR port / valve but how to tell if it is a Calif spec model? Would this fact make a difference in the above part numbers?

Thank you from the boonies of the North!

Thank you Sir, I was getting confused at all the part number suoerceding and the parts lady was even more confused.

How do I tell if I have a Calif emissions spec vehicle? I have one catalytic if that makes a difference. I guess there would be a sticker on the inside of the hood.

Amazing what you can learn from reading the basic labels In The engine bay. Thanks for your patience!

I don’t know why that other part number for the cast manifold shows as an active Toyota OEM part. Was told there are 14 in Calif. if it was so problem prone then get rid of it!
