3rz Exhaust manifold

I just bought a 2000 Tacoma Prerunner as a weekend truck and it needs a little maintenance. First off it has a hairline crack in the exhaust manifold. Has anyone had any luck with either ATP or Dorman exhaust manifolds for this engine? I don't want to put a header on it at this time. Or if anyone knows of another aftermarket exhaust manifold please chime in.

well, i know you dont want headers but i have only heard good things about LCE headers. anyhow might as well upgrade while your in there right

 

From what I have read, replacing it with another cast manifold will likely result in another cracked manifold down the road. Mine had two cracks, and was replaced by an LCE header about a week ago. I am very pleased with the difference it made, and it will hopefully last a long time.

 

Your best bet and money well spent is the OEM tube header.

Folks have tried the aftermarket cast stuff and ran right into the same problem you have now shortly after.
