ok, so lately ive been driving my friend's 2000 5VZ TRD 5speed Tacoma, and noticed a huge difference in torque and horsepower between the 3RZ and 5VZ, and Ive been wanting to take out the 3RZ and replace it with a 5VZ V6 motor, but what would change if I switched out the engines. Transmission? Wiring? Driveshaft? PLZ someone tell me, cause Ive never had a straight answer from nobody!:help:

P.S. How much would it cost if I took it to somebody to swap out the engine's, because I dont know a dam thing about swapping engines in a Toyota:(

The transmissions differ. So, unless you can find a donor vehicle, you would probably be better off selling your vehicle and buying another as it will likely be less expensive. If you are intent on a motor swap, why not try to find a D4D; you would have the torque of the six with fuel mileage well into the thirties.

it would be a near complete drivetrain swap.... engine, trans, transfer case.... wiring engine computer the works... cheaper and easier to call up LC Engineering and get performance cam, header and supercharger for 3RZ i have personally seen a 250 rear wheel HP 3RZ ... I think LC may now offer complete crate engine 3rz's that you could add the super charger to
