Sup fellas? First post here so pardon my greenness. I was wondering if anybody had any experience with windage tray/ oil pan baffles, or crank scrapers. I know the scrapers won't do much for bottom end, but I would feel vindicated if it helped throttle response or idle roughness, which makes my teeth grind. I know I have to replace the entire exhaust because of bum cats, but any other input would be appreciated. BTW I got the P0420 curse.

You will find more info about baffles and windage trays for the 1gr on xrunner forums as they have quite a few auto-x enthusiasts. However I'm pretty sure their factory pan is quite a bit more shallow due to ground clearance.

The actual pan itself as you probably know is a 2 piece design and the pickup sits directly over the small lower pan. With the deeper lower pan on the 4x4's, a tray/baffle would be unnecessary unless the engine is running at crazy angles for extended amounts of time while offroading.

That being said you shouldn't have a rough idle to begin with and the stock throttle response seems pretty good to me with the 6spd. You said you have a P0420 code, chances are it's a bad O2 sensor or cat which could easily cause bad throttle response and idle. Best to get that taken care of and go from there before looking into custom oil pans.

A couple modded xrunner pans if you're interested:
