    @TheBlueBeast15 I have no experience with the AC compressor. If it has some fore/aft movement, it may be normal, as long as it is not excessive. 2mm would be the most for me before I’d start worrying. I would definitely not tolerate side-to-side play. That would introduce a wobble that could derail the belt.

    Mine is 5 or 6yrs maybe more but still running strong.

    Ok. I'm thinking of getting 3 Gates pulleys and 1 OEM tensioner then only replacing the tensioner pulley. I'll save the tensioner assembly for later when replacing the AC compressor. The price comes out to be about $211 compared to all OEMs which is about $300 plus.

    I know everybody likes to cheap out & not replace the tensioner (cause its so hard) not!
    But if the pulleys & bearings are wore needing change how about the spring in the tensioner.
    To buy a new one and throw it on the shelf makes no sense.

    Gates pulley came with a sleeve that acts as a washer so the question is do I still need to use the OEM washer?
