So the myth is true! Today in the snow and freezing rain i decided to change out my spark plugs to my new denso Iridiums. SK20HR11's Its only took me 40 min!
Come to find out its easy. Wierd thing is the pass side had densos and the dirvers side had ngk's like others have found.
    Drivers side had ngk LFR6C11's
    Pass side Denso K20HR-U11's
The best way to do it is remove the braket that holds the intake on the dirver side and also the braket that holds the rubber lines under that, then its easy to take the coils out and change out the plugs, for the pas side all i removed was my air filter and the inediate part of the intake that holds it in. In the manual it says to remove allot more but its unessesary. So get the plugs out of the holes some cut up rag in the end of the socket holds it just fine. Truck runs great and ill post more after i see if i get any better fuel econ. I also changed out my mobil 1 today for the valvaline.
PS: Am I the first to spend 20 dollars a plug on this fourm ??? HAHA:)

I stopped by two Kragens, an Auto Zone and a Napa. None of them even carried Denso. What store did you go to? I don't want to by from the dealer. And I hate ordering online, even though thats what I will have to do.

    RIP Lucy.
    She's gone but not forgotten.
Being chronically broke and constantly breaking things automotive I do a LOT of shopping around for parts. rockauto beats everyone else at least 90% of the time. I do find stuff cheaper elsewhere but they're usually little "I just started my own Internet Company!" places, so I don't trust them.

Been using rockauto for a couple years now. Just put a new radiator in my mother's 97 Corolla bought from them. Over 100 bucks cheaper than Toyota wanted.

I got the NGK irridiums from advanced for $9 or $10 each(not on sale). Where in the world did you buy them for $20?

I don't mean to rub it in twice, but.... I just hit 32k and have been meaning to change my plugs. After work today I went to my dealer and got the Denso iridiums SK20HR11 for $10.34 a piece. I don't know ware you paid $20.00 at, but if I were you I would be playing the flaming bag of dog shit trick on their door step. :D:mad:

I think they over charged you. I paid $63 (otd) for six NGK irridiums at Advanced Auto. They had to order them from the warehouse.

The book says 30k but i do everything way early so 23,000. Drove it 60 miles yesterday and noticed a huge difference in highway driving and acceleration. Truck seems to have more pickup and less stress when you put on the go go!

Did you check the gap on the plugs you removed? Just curious to know if the gap grew or shrunk.

Yeah, everyone says they are "Pre gapped" but I have never found a plug that was. Thanks for checking. :)
