4.11's/ 4.10's vs 4.56

    That sounds impossible - do you have a 6-speed manual?

    I have 33s with 4.56 and turn 2400 at 70-75mph, 4.88 should be like 3000

    EDIT: looks like you're auto - how did you measure speed?

    So that deal fell thru. But after talking to chase at east coast Gear I will go with 4.56 when I do re-gear.

    something is wrong there

    Even with the final gear in the auto at .72, your RPMs with 4.88 gears and 33s are impossibly low for that speed unless you have an aftermarket O/D

    this calculator is spot on for my truck, 80 mph at 3k rpm with 4.56s and 35s

    33s with 4.88s at 75 with .72 is 2700 RPMs

    which calculator do you speak of? this sounds like a handy tool.

    randys ring and pinion rpm calculator, just put in tire size, rear end gears, tranny gear, and MPH and it calculates an RPM

    o/d for 6mt is .85
    o/d for 5at is .72
    o/d for 5mt is .81
    o/d for 4at is .71

    So what will get better gas mileage with 285/75/16s, 4.10's or 4.56's?
