I am looking to purchase some 4.88 gears for my 2017 TRD OR. keep hearing mix reviews about nitro. Is there any other gears manufacture that you would refer. currently have bds 6in coilover and running on 35's.

Yes, check out the 4.88 threads on TW.
I have Nitro 4.88 and they are GREAT!!

Don’t sweat it. Order from ECGS, get spacers rather than “crusher” units, spend $150 for REM surface treatment (polish), get a professional installer.

The installer is the big deal.

If you go through ECGS you have the option of the exchange program. You order both difs they send them to you and then you send yours back to them. They are great installers and they can do all the upgrades.

This. The nitro gears are just fine. Get a differential/gear specialist to install. You will revel in how much less you get that downshift to 4th at highway speeds on the slightest incline.

Pair the 4.88's with the 1.04 OVTune and you will hit 4th gear at highway speeds maybe 3 times a week! Well worth the expense.

    bigger tires
What tires are you guys running with 4.88s? When I bought my truck in 2016, I didn't know that SR5 autos came with 3.90s.... Now with 265/75-16s I'm at like 1900 rpm around 80 and lost a lot of mpgs and gained a bunch of downshifts. I'm trying to decide if I should get 4.88s first or OVTune..... I'm expecting that 4.88s with 32s will be about 2300 rpm at 80mph.
