    bestop supertop, rubber bed mat, weathertech floor mats
    my dad drives a 4 cyl daily and uses it to haul lumber (not a lot obv) but he does work with it daily and it gets the job done. me, i like my 6 cyl, plus 4x4 is a plus as well

    The 4 cyl 4X4 has the highest payload capacity, BTW.

    I agree. I had a 3.4L 4-runner blow my doors off this morning. I wish I could afford a new v6, but my truck does what I need it to do and hasn't let me down yet. Other than being slow, it's a great truck.

    Fat Bobs 2.75 lift and level with short AAL, 16x8 Level 8 Guardian Wheels, 245/75R16 Toyo Open Country ATII, custom trans shift kit(home made), Trans temp. and Vac gauge, URD fuel pump upgrade(going back to stock soon).
    I did not have the option cash told be 4banger. Now its all paid off and I am looking for upgrades. So far I have a few lined up.

    LOL! For me, this question is easy. On ANY vehicle I have, the question is, "What's the biggest motor I can get?" If I could get the 4.6 V8 in it, I'd get that.

    New I4 for me. I drove a Vortec V6 S-10 for the last 14 years, and I sometimes miss that extra shot of power on the freeway, but that's about it.

    I'm already averaging 22 MPG with mixed driving using the A/C, and I haven't even taken a road trip yet. Economy is important these days for me, just out of general principal. I had really hoped by now to have some kind of hybrid pickup from Toyota, but it hasn't happened yet.

    I planned on the V6 at first, but between the 4-5 MPG loss and the fact that I couldn't get a 5 speed, I opted for the I4. The test drive sealed it for me. Also, I've got a friend with over 350,000 miles on his 4 cyl, and that impressed the hell out of me.

    And its an opinion that is shared by most of america for no good reason. Cars have gears, select the right one for the task.

    If you have a superduty or whatever.. get a car.

    The suck is.. you don't pick up a hell of a lot when you get the 4 cyl. It would be nice if there was a huge difference in price and mpg.. but there isnt.

    Or maybe I'm wrong? My old 4cyl got about what I'm getting in my v6. But that was the old i4 in the 99.

    I've gotten 31 MPG's on two separate tanks, both of which were approximately 60% highway/ 40% suburban. For my particular situation I routinely get ~10 MPG's better than what most V6 guys get on average.
