Hello Tacoma World! Brand new to the site, but it looks like it's a good one!! Anyways, so I currently don't have a Tacoma, but plan on getting soon. Right now I have my heart set on the double TRD Off-road package. However, the only thing bugging me, which brings me to my very first question: what's the difference between the 4 speed vs. 5 speed AT? Please don't leave anything out, even the minor details. Thanks ahead of time, and looking forward to be part of TW! -- Jim

I could be mistaken but I think the 4 spd is a 4 cyl and the 5 spd is a 6 cyl

One has 4 speeds, the other has 5.

But seriously, I approve of your avatar.

I'm pretty sure the TRD off road only comes with the 5 speed auto or 6 speed manual. The 4 speed auto is for the four cylinder engine
