Just realized that the dial for 4wd 2wd selection on my 09 does not light up at night when the lights are on. Seems like it should, but it never has so Im not sure. Dumb question maybe but, anyones light up?

None of ours light up but you can mod it to where it does light up and I think they even sell full kits that are plug-n-play.

It seems a little out of place that it doesn't light up, but I have had no trouble operating it by feel. Mod it up to light it up...pretty simple procedure.

Well mostly I was wondering if it was supposed to light up and there was something wrong with mine. I should have searched first. Anyway its my wifes taco and I know she'll say she doesnt need it lit, and to leave it alone and save the money. Probably something to do with the 18k in mods I did to my Wrangler last year! :D But hey, its damn good off road!

I remember the first weekend I had my 2005, driving at night, and hit a gravel road... went to turn the dial and ... WHAT? Wow, why isn't that lit? I thought for sure the wise men at Toyota would have fixed that... but got in my new 2010 Tacoma.. and STILL no lighted dial! At least they moved the clock location so you don't have to look around the steering wheel to see the time anymore!
