I was curious about this, but I am guessing to shift into 4-Lo you need to be stopped (or really close to stopped)?

the only issues i've had was when i got stuck in the snow up to the frame and it was about -10 degrees. couldnt get it out of 4 low till the next day when it warmed up a little. had to drive 15 miles in 4 low...longest 15mi of my life.

P.S. snowmobile trails are not made for trucks...even tacomas

Your right let me rephase my previous statement. I did make it about 3 miles until the trail turned left and i went straight...right into about 4-5ft of powder. instantly sitting on the frame

Oh that does sound fun. Lately our snow has been pretty compact and relatively easy to navigate...

Back to the 4Lo, on my 1st Gen, and likely this 2nd gen shifting into 4Lo, and 4Hi for that matter was easier when the option was regularily exercised. If I went a month or two without using 4Lo it usually required a complete halt as opposed to slightly rolling.

Often made me wonder about those trucks that will never see 4Lo engaged...
