I’m actually pretty stoked that Murphinator got 348 hp at the rear wheels with what mods he has and the ov tune. Awesome

If you have to ask, the easy answer is 'no'.

Unless you have more money than you know what to do with and can just hand your truck over to the right person/shop for several months and simply tell them to give you a reliable 400hp truck, with a blank check.

If you want more bolt on power, get a supercharger and keep it stock. ~ $6k including install...do a lot of reading and research and see what kind of upgrades you can do it from there, and slowly but surely build your truck to where you want it.

you would need a Rotrex supercharger, tuning hardware from URD, a nice intercooler, bigger injectors/7th injector kit, and a nice exhaust and intake. Gadget (from URDUSA.COM) has done rotrex installs good for over 400HP before, wouldnt be hard to call him and get some advice and I know he can make you a sweet supercharger system including tuning for more fuel and everything.

Depends... you can choose two of the three: Fast, good, cheap
If you want to be fast and good, whip out your wallet and dont expect change.
If you want to be fast and cheap, it wont be good for your motor one day, it will blow up like the pressurized soda can you turned it into.

I have a friend who has a supercharged XRunner that's been heavily worked over. Headers, full exhaust, pulley modifications, intake work, fuel management work, precisely tuned.

If I remember right...he was at 365 hp. Along way from 400 horse....even with all that work.

    Just sayin

Stage 2 is 400, no need for piecing anything together

Hmm, if u could get specific mods and a dyno printout, im sure @Torspd would be happy to see it and add the info to his collection which in turn helps us all.

I knew someone would ask that. He moved away a couple of years ago and I have not been in touch with him.

My point was though. Even with all that work he still wasn't near the 400 horse mark

Hey! So I am the friend that had the 2012 X-Runner. I had the TRD Supercharger with URD Stage one stealth pulley, headers and then custom exhaust from the y-pipe back with no cat. I never dynoed but based on my mods and others I would have been somewhere around 350. Like he said, all of that and I was still ways off. WIth those mods the stock clutch couldn't hold and only had 15k miles on it, took it out and looked brand new. Went with URD clutch setup. One of the main reasons I eventually sold the truck was because of the transmission. You can't fast shift it and the only way to make it good is to swap for T56. I had looked into doing the kit that URD put together but couldn't justify putting another 5k in it.

My recommendation for 400hp is to go with URD kit. If I could have done it over again, I would have skipped TRD and went with a URD setup. Being 2012 model at the time I was more limited on options.

    T56 or th400 for sure

By stage 1 pulley i assume that was the 2.85 and around 8psi with variance due to elevation.

    Thanks for chiming in !
