    FINALLY!!!

    Sorry the pics aren't that great, it's been a long day and I'm holding the can with one hand while taking the pic with the other. Both finishes look great, though!

    However, the fittings that came with the cans are terribly mismatched and I won't be using them. I'm going to send them back and find some new ones. I should be able to find some tomorrow and order them, and have them before the brackets arrive, so it shouldn't set the timetable back any further than it already is. The downside is that I was going to put my can in and jimmy-rig a mounting solution for it, just to get some testing during my commute to work tomorrow, and I can't because the fittings are so bad.

    Are they not tapered fitting that shouldn't thread in the whole way? I would think they should be because the ports are 1/2" NPT. Which means they should be tapered to seal, and thus not fitting all the way in. However, they look straight cut, so I am not sure.

    My install wont require a 90 degree fitting, just the brass 1/2 to 3/8 barbed. Mines out for delivery. I'll post pics when I get it. Should have it installed today or tomorrow.

    While looking for a good fitting, I came across the renderings for the one from 42DD. It's from Eldon James:

    There's a very slight taper to it, but it's only at the beginning of the threading. Once it evens out, the fitting doesn't thread in any further.

    Doh, I should have asked for mounting gear ? I didn't see that on the group buy options. :frusty:

    At any rate, I got everything I asked for and it looks swell. Just wish I had known I could get the mounting gear on that order. I ordered the stealth can with NPT.
