They're 14"s but when fully flexed out, there's about a 22" difference from end to end.

    $1,300 and they're yours.:D

    Thanks man!

I was actually going to go with 18"s at first. The guys on pirate convinced me not to. 14" is the limit for U4 anyway.

Started working on the QD bedsides. I cut 13.25" when I did the bed bob, and another 6" off the front today. I'm welding the gas door closed and I'll bondo it.

    Bed is dovetailed 12"

And 7 years ago today, the reason for this build began.

Ditch the stock tail lights so the bed can dovetail more into the tubework. You're gonna have to figure out something for the lights when the bedsides are off anyways. Just my $.02

I was gonna keep the stock tail lights on the bedsides and put 4" round LED tail lights on either side of the license plate (you can see where I put the marks)

I figured if I expect a lot of carnage, I can just pull off the bedsides then.

i like mark's idea...might as well just put something like LED tails and turns in that plate and dove tail the bedsides back around the tube frame and forget dealing with the factory light that will get destroyed in the first hour you take the truck out

I know, I'm just running thin on ways to keep some semblance of a Tacoma.
Plus it's dovetailed a lot more than I anticipated. Should help to protect the lights in most cases.

And I assume you are referring to something like Matt's bedsides?

No completely ditch the stockers. Put LED's in the plated section you already have and just run those.

It's not too bad if you just hop up into the 'bed' area and toss it out. But if it's too much of a PITA, I have some ideas.

It's already dovetailed a lot more than I expected or really had a taste for.

Wyatt's bed toobing and removable bedsides were the original inspiration and works quite well.

I like the way the bed is going, stock (mostly) bedsides, with stock tails and all.
