    Well 1 year is up.

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/1st-gen-builds/198660-45acp-s-divorced-build-53.html#post7190577

If I end up buying new, any recommendations on headers? Or just pull a junkyard OEM?

To update, I haven't done a damned thing to the truck. Saving my pennies for rear shocks and wheels. If there's anything in between now and then, it'll be flooring, bearings/small internal parts for axles, and/or finishing up the rear links.

I'm still on the hunt for a radiator, so if ya'll have suggestions, I'm open to them. I'm not sure if I should get one longer vs taller, offset vs centered, or just the biggest MFer that the space allows for. It's a little difficult/awkward because of the steering box placement. I don't want it to hang low either and impede the winch line.

Thanks bud. I thought it kinda looked like shit before, so I beveled the edges and covered up the open area that was initially for shock mounting until my plans changed.

Either tomorrow or later in the week I want to get the links in and mock up the shocks.

So after the rear shocks and links what's left axle wise?

    Yeah :anonymous:

Thought I'd include a pic of how I modified the Chassis Unlimited double shock mounts. Did the same thing for the D60. About as close as one can come to defying the laws of physics and have two things occupy the same space.

It's nothing fancy, but seems to get the job done and it's nice to be able to adjust the flow and pressure rates.

Gonna *attempt* to modify the OEM steering wheel and make it quick detachable

Thanks man, it's slowly getting better.

Mocking up for rear shocks today. 4 inches of shaft showing at ride height. Fully flexed out equates to roughly 20" at the wheels. Looks like I'm gonna have to weld in some more tubing so the bump stops can reach the axle haha :anonymous:

And before anyone says anything- yes I know, "no more cutting!" ([IMG])

...but I'm starting to wonder if I should cut off the axle end shock mounts and put the shock on the opposite (inside) side of the tubing/bed area/whatever. Moar flex? :notsure:

Why only 4"? You're definitely going to want about half the shock shaft worth of uptravel to race. Seems like the sky is the limit for where the upper mount can go?

Yeah, I intentionally made the bed area somewhat of a blank slate to maximize my shock mounting options.

Talking with Ben @ Filthy Motorsports, he suggested 4" of shaft showing at ride height. So that's what the front shocks are valved for. I mocked up the rears assuming they would also be set to 4" at ride height, but they could be tucked another 2" if I want. I was just about to update the build on pirate and ask about that.
