Awesome to see your build coming along so fast!

About the lower mount on the fender flare, couldn't you use the same nut and bolt your using to hold the fender on? Or is there nothing left of the bottom part of the flare to run a bolt in after trimming it?

Haha thanks:D I went the "I have no idea what I'm doing" route on the tubbing and I think it turned out pretty good! Maybe I was just lucky... :anonymous:

Yeah what I want to do is use the same bolt holding the fender, but like you said there's nothing left of the flare. I was thinking about gluing some scrap that I trimmed off the flare as an extension of sorts. :notsure:

Not as fast as I'd like. I've been taking my time and doing other things too. Not to mention prep work and measuring took forever. Sure didn't help that my bed is a little tweaked from when a coworker back into the truck and I also bent the very end of the frame and bed mount when I pulled my buddy's F-250 out of a swamp.

Hey, with your bed bob, did you use the bed mounts on the back end of the bed? They seem really close to the next set of mounts and I was thinking of just leaving it. How much did you take off anyway?

I'm still running open 4.30s. I'm curious to try it out wheeling. I'll pm you my schedule when I can and lmk what works for you. I want to wheel asap and I'm dying to see that POS of yours in action!:D

Probably. I don't think I had the voltage high enough so I was tacking a little longer than I probably had to. They seem to be holding up pretty good though.

MIG .024 wire with argon/CO2, which I ran out of just as I was finishing up:eek:

Slow going as usual, but I decided on some changes. Told you I would.

Originally, I was going to install a crossmember that served a dual purpose. One, to replace the spare tire crossmember, and two, to act as a mount for relocating my shocks in the future. I realized that the 2.5" .25" wall square tubing I'm going to use for backing on the rear bumper receiver is in pretty much the same spot as the spare tire crossmember. I figured I'd just skip the other crossmemeber as it seems unnecessary at the moment and may provide more options if I want to install a tank behind the rear axle or relocate my shocks a different way.

On another note, I started working on boxing the frame. Saw this technique on TTORA and it seems quite accurate with VERY little trimming to make it fit. I did put a backing strip of tape behind the others so they wouldn't fall apart, then just cut it out inside the frame and placed the template on the blank steel. Really easy to do. I'm using 1/8" for boxing.
