    I think you're right, but unless they can tow (which they can't) I'm pretty sure I'm stuck with the POS honda for the foreseeable future.

    Psh. That's what I thought Eric was for.

    And you could opt for a 1st gen tundra...would work as a tow rig for a while until you get a huge trailer with spare parts and such then you'd want a 2nd gen tundra or diesel.

    What are the towing specs on a 1st gen tundra? I thought no different than the 2nd gen tacomas, or really similar?

    That's what I had assumed about the 1st gen tundras and 2nd gen Tacomas.

    BTW, have you ordered those blueprints? :luvya: I going to be out today in the area where Northern Tool is. I could always pick some up while I'm out there.

    No... I'm still thinking about it haha. I am pretty sure I am going to repair my trailer in the mean time and build some drive over fenders. It should cost me less than $800. Our gooseneck will be in the several thousands, and I don't need that big of a trailer for at least 10 years right? :luvya:

    I have friends do that. But they own a body shop...so might not be a great idea..

    7,100lbs vs 10,500. plus like a hundred horsepower and 200ft/lbs torque different. Tim has a 2nd gen and tows awesome.

    Is the 1st Gen tundra 7,100? I think you misread my first question. 7,100 still isn't enough to tow jon's truck around IMO. I did it for years. Flat land isn't a big deal, but I saw my life flash before my eyes too many times in hilly terrain
