Check the wiring in that area. Maybe something melted when doing the welds?

What a freaking dumbass I am. My brain has been so fried over the past week, I completely forgot about the damned fuse box under the hood. Lo and behold, the PO had put a 20 in where a 10A should go, which was fried. I bought this truck in Kentucky so I'm not surprised.

No shit! I've been so disorganized, I swear probably at least 2/3rds of the time working on this project was spent wandering around the garage looking for the damned tools I had just put down!

Almost there! Gotta finish the welds, cap all the ends and a few other misc stuff but it almost finished! The entire thing is made out of 1/4" wall and weighs ~98lbs.

That is where you want weight, the back of the truck. The fronts are so heavy.

True, and there will be more weight back there eventually.

As much as I like the CBI tire carrier, I think my next project will be ditching it and building a bed cage/storage area and relocate the shocks through the bed.

Yeah, they've been trimmed a bit. The front ones have been trimmed enough that you'd need to 'add' some plastic on the bottom or something for the lower mounting bolt.

Thanks for the comments, can't wait for the next project! Dying to go wheeling:mad:
