While I get the bolt relocation problem figured out on the rear axle, I've finally resumed work on the boat sides. 3/16" plate, and it'll continue down to the bend/angle in the link crossmember to make the entire side a single facet for mounting UHMW.

Hey @45acp, what backspacing were you running at this point? I recall you documenting your work on ttora, and at one point you said 3.75"bs w/ 1.25" spacers, so 2.5"bs total? Was that the case after you got everything cut up, or did you end up ditching the spacers? @Blackdawg I know I asked you about this too, so feel free to chime in again (and sorry for the repetitive question:anonymous:). I'm just trying to keep up with the damn WY boys...

Wel considering that I bought those rims and tires off him and have them on Frank right now...lol

He ran 1" spacers up front. So he had 2.75" bs. I have 2.25" due to my 1.5" spacers.

You need at least 3" bs to keep the tires off the frame when turning.

I'm almost positive my wheels are 4" BS and I'm running 1.25" spacers, still rub the frame ever so slightly every once in a while. Another .25" of BS would keep it off the frame entirely I think on mine.

This is the info I needed boys! I found a smoking deal on some 16x8s w/ 3.75"bs. I already have 1.25" spacers, so I think I'm going to jump on them.

Shouldn't be much change? Should still be able to bolt up the crawl box and tcase. I haven't made driveshafts yet. Might have to redo the mount which sucked anyway, but I think that should be it.

After some research, the W59 won't hold up to the 3RZ now anyway. Will also be nice because I won't have to work out an expensive clutch setup in an already cramped floor area. I'll be setting this up as a semi-automatic transmission, so I'll get the best of both worlds.

Yea the mount. And length. And it's also taller, as in Hangs lower, the. The 5speed.

    Shouldn't be hard.

True, it does hang lower so I gotta make a skid plate/mount setup. Good thing I haven't gotten around to making the floor yet either. :anonymous:

I was originally out looking for sections of bed floor that I could cut out and patch mine with. But this one was in such damn good shape, I couldn't pass it up for $130. Zero rust on the floor and minimal rust over the wheel wells. A helluva lot better shape than mine. The bedsides had zero damage until the guy at the yard flipped it right side up to load onto the forklift.
