Now I know what to do with my truck, subd! Since I can't afford to do any of this right now, I guess I'm stuck playing with photo shop... 35's don't really look too big on a single cab do they?

Thanks guys, just finished installing the 3rd back into the truck with the 5.29s! :woot:

Some poser pics from the other day. Wish I had some while I was wheeling, I should have handed off my camera to someone. :anonymous:

Finally got both diffs out this morning and took them to the shop. Turns out, they sent the correct gear set for the rear after all, so the rear has the cryoed Yukons installed. Front diff should be done tomorrow or Wednesday.

I'm completely drenched in sweat and my head is covered in kitty litter. But it's done! 5.29s are in and the truck is ready for the trek home to WY tomorrow!

Now time for a shower. :anonymous:

How many miles in your trip tomorrow? Might wanna go easy on the gears and get em broken in properly. Maybe change the fluids once your home.

It's around 1k miles. The guy that did the re-gear said to start using 85-140 fluid, drive 5 miles and let it completely cool, drive another 5 miles and let it completely cool, then I should be good to go.

Nice. I started using 85w-140 after regearing and putting in the front locker well. ARB reccomends it for "heavy off-road abuse", so why not right? :)

As for breaking in, that sounds good to me, but be kinda gentle on the skinny pedal and keep any towing light duty for the first 500 miles and then change the diff fluid.... Then you should be good to go.

Sorry if you already said earlier, but where did you end up getting the front gears cryoed? And do they come with any type of warranty like ecgs? Im just curious because this seems like a pretty good idea.

Thanks, I'll go easy on it for now.

Both front and rear were cryoed locally at Therm-tech. Not sure if there's any warranties.
