With my frame issues, they had to build a crossmember from scratch on the spot with what they had on hand.

9/2/14 Edit: 4.3 Vortec installed, NP3500, custom NP233 transfer case, high pinion dana 44 SAS with ARB, 4.88 gears, bobbing the bed, 5" lift, boxed rear frame, custom s10 fuel tank mount, etc. 12/16/13 Edit: Currently tearing down a 2000 Blazer to transplant the 4.3 Vortec and 5spd manual transmission (NV3500 I believe) into the Taco. It'll pass CO emissions when done. Planning to post a thread once complete. E-Locker, budget CAI and exhaust, Warn Powerstation, Addicted Off Road bumper, ToyTec OME w/AAL lift, aftermarket stereo w/10 inch subwoofer (only cool when you realize how I fit it in a reg cab truck), dual lexus horns, roll bar, off road lights, CB radio, Powertrax Lock Right locker (front diff), ejecto seat, laser/phaser/ion ray gun, oil slick, heat seaking missles...
Nice build!!! I've been searching for someone who ran the OME lift with the 883 springs, found your thread and noticed that the pic of your truck crawling the rocks is the same one I've been staring at for the last month while deciding to buy the Addicted Off Road bumper haha. Scott is a great guy, I've been bugging him every day since I ordered the bumper (is it done yet? now? how about now?!?!), I guess those things are in high demand haha. Took tomorrow off to run up to his shop for the bumper and ToyTec to pick up the OME lift with AAL and 883's (it was a tough decision between those and the 882's but after a lot of reading it appears the higher rate 883's are the right choice). I have a 95.5 4x4 regular cab with the 2.7, and am adding the AOR bumper and a Warn Powerstation HP, so looking close to 175 lbs. Also have plans of building a supercharger setup with a Eaton M90 SC (a few more pounds) that I picked up off craigslist from a grand prix GTP, should be a fun summer project :D and a Lock Rite locker to the front diff which should help in the snow next fall.

Anyway, thought I'd write and say a quick thanks for helping me feel better about my purchase and stay excited for picking it all up tomorrow. Feel like a kid on the night before Christmas...

PS If you do end up with a different rear bumper, any chance you'd sell me your AOR bumper? Hehe.

Again, excellent build, hit me up if you make it back to CO and want to run some trails. I currently belong to a Jeep group and love showing them what Yotas are made of

Started working on relocating my washer reservoir. Since I removed the OEM bumper, it leaves the pump and the lower portion of the reservoir exposed to potential damage. Additionally the OEM reservoir sits right in front of the air box making it a PITA to open/close the deck plate.

I built this one based on a write up on Expedition Portal. I used rubber fittings to make it easier to install and reduce the chance of stress/breakage. A PVC end cap to mount the pump, and a coupling to use the preexisting cap and filter. I used 1.5" dia. ABS pipe, 19.5" length for the lower and 21.25" for the upper. Decided there was no way I could use the low fluid sensor, so I gotta figure out how to bypass it. The whole deal is supposed to be mounted behind the radiator, around the fan...

Gonna try tomorrow to figure out how to mount the damn thing. Please tell me if I'm doing something wrong.

I remember talking to you about the 12.5's and how they rubbed. What BSing was that on again?

They were 4", but I added 1" wheel spacers which seemed to solve the frame rubbing, but made the fender rubbing worse. Nothing a BFH couldn't fix.

think 3.75" bs would be good?

Would be better than 4", but I'm pretty certain it'll still rub the frame. I think if I wheel hard enough even the 4" BS and 1" spacers rubbed the frame a little, but I'm not sure. I'll be going to 3.75" BS plus 1" spacers when I get 35"s.

If you don't want to deal with spacers, I talked to Scuba who said to basically get used to the rubbing or quit turning the wheel to full lock.

so far no...but I am sure that if I articulated "enough" that it may rub a bit.

But I do rub like a bitch on the fenders when articulated. :)

At full lock there is no frame rub

Ian, Jonathan(TacoMx has a BL like you do too...and just remember the farther out you go the more you increase fender rubbing. TRUST ME! lol at 2.5'' BS..i know..lol

Jonathan(45acp) has less lift outa all of us. Either way, you will rub at full lock and articulation.

im interested in your cool mod for the resivor there buddy! I would like to move mine as well..

    and when the 35s come??
