Sweet! I dont think any pics are needed :)

Thats kind of how I figured it was, ya mounting it underneath would be a crappy task but I was thinking about a design like this. I'd potentially keep it underneath on regular driving when I dont need the bed space. This way I still have my rear view mirror. Then flop it up top if I needed the space for wheeling or whatever.

You can also fit a cooler underneath correct?

That came from CBI right? I'm gonna email him and see about a current cost.

    Build looks great man!

Yeah it's CBI. I opted out of getting any light tabs, antennae mount, etc. Kinda wish I got them. Not being able to use your rear view mirror is a downside. I got used to using my side mirrors real fast. It's nice to still have bed space. 3 Rubbermaid roughneck containers side by side fit under there perfectly.

I WOULD of had them mounted to the new wheels today too. But being the retard that I am, in my rush to get to the store (hour and a half away) before they closed I forgot to bring the bloody wheels with me!

I'll get them mounted and hopefully tub the firewall in the next few days.

On another note, the sidewall lugs are a lot deeper/ more aggressive than I expected.

I asked the guy at the store if he had anything I could tie them down with. He came out with some balloon ribbon and I almost busted out laughing.

Thanks, gears are next. I wanted to run the 35"s on stock 4.30 gears first for shits and grins just to see how well (or terrible) it handles them. Either which way, 5.29s are going in soon. The truck did really well with 33"s... 35"s can't be that much different, can they? :notsure:

Haha i've considered that. I have 4.10's and hate it with my 33's mountains are a bitch. They were great with 30's  i'll be waiting till I have 4.88's. I may have missed it in your thread but is your rig a 3.4 or 2.7? I've never really known what ones came with the 4.30's

I have the 2.7L. I was getting around 22mpg with the 33" KM2s. Killed the MPG sometimes. Driving into the wind and living ~7,000ft.

I'm dying here! Gonna try and find a shop in the morning to get them mounted and balanced. With any luck, I'm hoping to squeeze them on (with minimal rubbing ) until I can get the firewall tubbed.

Why NOT bob the bed? Way better clearance and your able to cross things without high centering your box

Shitty pics, sun was going down and I was in a hurry. Gonna take some more later.

It slightly rubbed the pinch weld, but nothing a sledge hammer couldn't fix. I got the pinch weld back far enough to where I could at least drive around town comfortably without any rubbing. The 2.7L/4.30 gears handled the 35"s quite well actually! Not a whole lot of difference from the 33"s. Not sure what difference it made in MPGs though.

My frame sits at just over 21" from the ground now. :D
