I've searched but can't find anything saying it is or isn't possible, I have the opportunity to buy a trd cat back exhaust for pretty cheap does anyone know if it will line up correctly, the exhaust is an hour or so away so I can't just line it up and see.

    So my questions are

    Will it fit?
Will I have any pressure problems?

Note: performance isn't number 1 on the list it's for a doublecab and an access cab so it will be a "for fun" project. I just don't want to put it on and not have it perform as well as the stock exhaust.

I have been curious about the same thing, but I think the pipe in front of the muffler is different on the V6. You could always cut and weld to get it to fit.

How loud is the 10 compared to a 40 on the 2.7?

I loved the sound of a Flowmaster 40 on my 2.5l Ranger, 4.6l F150, and my brother's 4.3l S10. Just not sure if I want my Tacoma to be that loud.

X2. Unfortunately people will never learn what a good exhaust sounds like and Chokemasters will still fly off the shelves.

Used exhaust pipe and muffler, reminds me of used toilet paper, not something I would really want.

And what would you consider a good exhaust sound? Maybe the sound of a 1968 Camaro z28 with 302 and stock chambered exhaust? Maybe a big block Chevy with Purple Hornies? Ford 302 with open headers?

Would you buy used headers? I would buy a used exhaust if it doesn't have too many miles on it.

According to "TRDPARTS4U.com" Tocoma double cab short bed and Access cab share identical cat back exhaust. Cost new $390

But the question is do the 4.0 and 2.7 share the same exhaust from the cats back.

I doubt it. There is no crossover for the driver side exhaust so the attachment points are probably different.
