    Hey all,

I just installed a spindle on my truck which give me 4 inch and using the stock struts and coil. In the rear, I have an add a leaf 1.5-2 inch lift with a 2inch block. I do this just because I have a pretty heavy tool box in the back of my truck. The add a leaf works pretty good by supporting all the weight. The problem that I have right now is mostly happening every time I turn. So every time I turn, it felt like I’m leaning too much to the sides. I thought it was my sway bar but I checked my sway bar end links and bushings but they’re good. Please let me know what you guys recommend or suggest.

    thanks.

You raised your center of Gravity.. you’re gonna have more body roll in turn.

So that means it’s normal to feel it that way? I mean I never know what’s going to happen after installing all these on my truck.

As long as everything was installed correctly and nothing is loose yes, if something were loose I would suspect some type of noise.. you could possibly try to source a stiffer sway bar or add a rear sway bar and cure some of it.

just make sure to drive accordingly.. a higher center of gravity does make a vehicle more prone to roll overs.

Are you still on the original stock suspension components other than what you mentioned that you changed?

New shocks/struts and coils might help then.

If you’re on 15 year old suspension, wouldn’t be a bad idea to freshen that up. Look for someone with a newer truck, a trd off-road. Buy their stock suspension after they install a lift. Can be had for cheap, and bolts right up. Not only will it be less worn out, it’ll be stiffer too since it has a firmer coil on it.

Do I have to change my UCA’s or not? I’m only using 4 inch spindle and I see that my stock upper control arms are pretty parallel. I’m not sure if I have to change them or not.

What size tires do you have ? Are they very close to the UCAs ?

No you don’t need to change them, unless they’re just old. That’s the beauty of a spindle lift is it keeps the geometry pretty damn good.

What is the best brand to get for the shocks and struts? I’m talking about the affordable brand tho.

Isn't being able to retain stock components and geometry one of the main draws for spindle lifts?

The oem take offs from a new truck are the best bang for your buck. Another alternative is bilstein 5100/OLd man emu coils. You’d want 883 coils if you’re not trying to gain any lift. Can be bought from wheelers off-road

Admittedly I know nothing about spindle lifts but at that height I would think stock components are stressed :notsure: maybe I’m wrong @EatSleepTacos knows more about this than I do  The rear shocks sound like they are too small for sure
