I decided to make more of these. Currently working on a 50 set batch that should be available the first week of May.

I have hit a rather major snag in my plans. 1) I was going to look at a couple 4runner seats this weekend and then planned to buy the seat mods -- but 2) I had my truck in for inspection today and ... 3) they put it on the stand to lift and ... crunch ... frame broke. Needless to say, inspection failed, they immediately lowered it and called my son to let him know. I know this spot had been "patched", but it was poorly welded and the plate broke off to reveal not just the cracked frame in the pic, but a couple other spots, as well, that were revealed by the lift elsewhere on the frame.

To say I'm bummed out right now is an understatement. :annoyed:

So until I figure where I'm going from here, I am sorry to have to put the seat mods on hold. Need to assess how bad the rest of the frame is - and yes, I do periodic checks of the frame. It passed fine last year, but the truck has pulled a boat to brackish water a number of times and I fear the salt got into places we didn't see upon quick inspections. I'll be looking at Safe-T-Caps and such, but gotta assess if it is worth the time and $$ for me at this stage.
