Thanks for checking this out and confirming 4runner seats don't sit level in these trucks no matter how you beat them down! That front foot is too darn tall, even when mangled into submission...

I am on the search for the junkiest cheapest Tacoma buckets I can find so I can just grab the feet to properly mount these 4Runner seats I got. Seems almost no one sells just the tracks for these seats separately (except for $400 each at the dealer, yikes).

While searching, I actually found a great deal on some fairly nice Tacoma buckets and found they are way more comfy than my stock full bench so I will be running those for the time being. It is a real nice bonus that the fabrics match my interior too (2002 "Charcoal" ftw).. Heck, even the burn holes match the burn holes on my carpet!

I got them cleaned up as best I could, but now I just "need" to detail the entire cab while the seats are out. I really dig the oem funky patterns Mr Toyoda slaps in these little trucks and believe it or not, I'm excited to see these in my truck and run these for a bit!

If you were asking me.. the standard buckets were pretty cool, definitely a step above my full bench seat.

I never went back to trying to install the 4Runner seats, since the color just didnt match my interior and I wasnt happy with the look. So after tons of searching, luck came my way and I found the nicest seats the factory ever put in the first gen! They bolted right in and the patterns match perfectly for my 2002...

Here are my factory "Sport" bucket seats, these came in only SRunner's or trucks with the "Limited" package but these are in my regular cab 5 lug now!
    20200328_164057.jpg

My dog Daisy knows luxury, and she approved the seats as soon as I installed them!
    20200328_160108.jpg

Notice the extra cushion and side bolstering on the Sports, and also they have manual height (working), adjustable headrests, and power lumbar adjustments (I havent wired up yet). Here is a side by side comparison of the standard bucket next to the Sport seat, the patterns on the fabrics are the exact same but hard to see in this pic.

These seats are very hard to find and will cost quite a bit more than a standard buckets, but easily worth it for the oem look, extra comfort, and bolt in install makes it the best upgrade I have done to my truck.
