I mean, maybe. I’ve gotten in a habit cause I’m always in the garage to check it every 2k. (Dipstick) I’ve checked it at 7k before a still seen an amber color. Granted I don’t tow or anything crazy.
I still change it often and I think that one 7k was just a busy time for me but i usually change it around 6kish if maybe not before due to a free 30 mins I have to spare.

but never gone to a 10k change. Just a preference for me and my trucks

If you don’t mind I am not going to assume someone is unless they say so.
My point was if someone just skims the manual for instance it says every 10K. Small print says 10K only under certain conditions. Someone might miss that.
Also the dealership I bought my Gen3 from said 10K.
    I like 5-6K on average.

When's your delivery, 2026? You think a solid bushing will be available for the front diff right away?

If the truck goes to an electric fan, aux cooling fan may not be necessary, though you'd want to wire in a kill switch for water crossings.

Good advice, thank you... Care to offer an actual helpful reply or say why you think I may be wrong?

The rear I heard is 9.5" to handle the hybrid's 465 lb-ft. The front diff is probably larger too. All Toyota has to do is to increase the CV axle's spline count for the existing ECGS bushing to be unusable.

Soon we'll see how much of the front drivetrain is carried over or scaled down from the Tundra. The Tundra's may be overbuilt because the LC300 is available with a front locker.

If you read a little further in the thread you would see I like 5-6K. Been doing that 30 years. My comment was because someone said just read the manual which can be a bit misleading if you skim through. I will always change at 5-6K.I have had very good luck with my Toyotas over a long amount of time doing this so why change. Has nothing to do with someone on the internet.

3,000mi intervals are wasteful, 5,000mi similarly so.

I'm stuck in the euro car world until the '24 Tacoma releases, and 10k mi is totally fine with the right oil.

My B58 engined 340i doesn't burn a drop of oil, returns 28mpg+, and is driven spiritedly. Whether I'm using 0w-20 like the Supra does, or 5w-30 "diesel" oil; however, I use oil that meets various manufacturer approvals from BMW, M-B, etc.

North America went to 10ppm low sulphur fuel in the last few years, which has lead to auto makers going to thinner low SAPS types of oil in the pursuit of efficiency, emissions reduction, and interval longevity.

Car owners in Central Europe run 18,500mi / 2yr intervals, if anyone is curious.

Even Toyota used to run 10k mile oil change intervals back in the 80's.

    I've got about 250k miles on a 2GR that's run 10k intervals on 0W-20. Never had a hiccup.

Every vehicle released so far on the TNGA-F platform uses the same size 8.9" front differential, including the GRJ300 with the 4.0L 1GR V6, so I would be pretty surprised if the Tacoma doesn't also get the same front diff. It's possible of course, but... I'd probably be surprised.

The new diff's ADD uses an electromagnetic coupling and there is no needle bearing. Even if the Tacoma did use a smaller version of this differential, I wouldn't expect there to be a needle bearing.

I still don’t get the big deal
I change mine at 5 k and 6 months no matter what . It’s cheap insurance. If it’s a waste oh well. We waste so much other stuff in this country . All my Toyotas have run flawless and I mean flawless . If it ain’t broke then I’m not changing
