I have heard that tapping on the actuator on the transfer case may solve the problem. My 4wd was working. I tried to switch it to 2wd and the green light is flashing on the dash. This same thing happened last year and it seemed to resolve itself. It's 2006 Tacoma. Anyone tried this and did it work? Im in severe finacial stsrains due to COVID and this truck is my only transportation. I live in Montana so the roads show no mercy at times.

    Still thinking about it.
Mine acts like that from time to time too. Seems to work eventually if I keep trying. Is it a manual?
