Yes, I think the issue is that the expo leaf pack is more narrow than others. Maybe the metal the stock shackles are made out of are thin enough to conform to the leaf bushing when torqued down. I had to swap back to my stock shackles. I got my HD shackles from a local friend that did not end up using them so I am not sure if the bushings and sleeves that came with them are the same ones from 4x inno.

    Sorry for the issues.

EDDO has the first set with the new gusset position. However we have many sets with the old gussets on trucks. While we were inspecting the issue to insure these solve it we noticed that actually the set EDDO had would clear the longer 2nd leaf if they were installed on the truck (IE the weight of the truck was holding the main leaf to the 2nd leaf), but we're making this change anyway. All future stock hanger shackle kits will have the gusset spaced to the back. The shackles don't flex that much in the stock hanger so unless your spring is a different length you shouldn't have any problems with the zirk. The stock spring bushing inner sleeve is 2.885" wide.

I know this is an old thread but just want to confirm the HD shackles will work with OME Dakars on stock hangers without issue and the bushings fit? @EDDO @jtrue

A bunch a cool stickers, a bada ass MetalMiller Tx Longhorns grill emblem painted Hemi Orange, JBA long tube headers with o2 sims, Diff breather mod, Red LED interior lights, Fancy head unit that plays ipod n movies, Also DIY install factory stuff like, factory cruise control, factory intermittent wipers, OME nitro struts with 886x springs and toy tec top plate, JBA high caster UCA's for better alignmnet and dey beefier too, Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs in da rear with the gear, U bolt flipper, Ivan Stewart TRD rims with 33" K Bro 2's, some bad ass weather tech floor liners so I don't muck up my interior, an ATO shackle flipper for mo travel in da rear wit the gear, also super shiny Fox 2.0 shocks back there too, all sorts of steal armor for bouncing off of the rocks like demello sliders, AP front skid, trans skid, n transfer skid, demello gas tank skid, and a tough as nails ARB bumper with warn 8k winch, I'm sure there's more
If you will be using the shackle flip with the HD shackles, then there will be no issues. HD shackles by themselves with no shackle flip I can't speak for.

Short answer is no. I wound up giving mine away and went with empty OEM replacements (04005-65104) stuffed with .
@scocar might want to chime in here.

I would like to know what issue you had? Sounds like it worked for a couple people. I have the option of replacing the OEM shackle bushings too. Would it be better to get a new shackle or could I remove the stock rubber?

Dakar leafpacks, or any leaf pack with a "standard eye" that has the top leaf forming the bottom of the eye like this: _O

Will bind up in the through of the HD shackles and impair full articulation. This is aside from the additional issue of the very long leaf tips in Dakars that extend into the shackle. This pack has the AAL in it, but the issue remains without the AAL.

I tried this with the old 4X design, and the new 4X design. Neither will work, because the pack binds up on the sides of the shackle long before the gusset really comes into play. In fact that same is true of the BAMF HD shackles, as stated by Jerry himself. It is a simple geometry and material problem. All that steel can occupy the same space at the same time.

They should work OK with leafpack eyes that intersect the bushing barrel at midpoint, like this: -O vs _O

Everything that @scocar said + this:
The ATO shackles are supplied with 1/2" bolts (12.7 mm). The stock hardware being replaced is M14 - nominally 14 mm. The stock M14 bolts do not fit in the ATO-supplied bushing sleeve.
Torqued to spec, the 1/2" bolts in the holes drilled for M14 hardware might be fine, but I'm not taking the chance on ovaling out the mounting holes in my hangers.

Thank you for explaining it. I might just get new bushings for the stock shackles.

Save yourself the hassle of burning the stock bushings out and just get OEM replacements without bushings (04005-65104) from @gunny1005 then shove the in them.

Agreed, considering I'm out $104 on an item with a limited market and are heavy and costly to ship. I returned the old design to get the new design, per Adam, and that cost me $25 shipping. And those won't work either. So actually I'm out about $130 and no glory.

Anyone with Deavers or All Pros or any brand with the correct eye -O should be good with these shackles.

I am trying to find the right OEM shackles but I cant verify that the part number you provided fits my 2nd Gen 4x4. The part number I see for my model and year is (04483-04080) but I see that you also have a 2nd gen.

04005-65104 fits. It is a part listed in the leaf spring recall documentation (attached). The one you listed includes the bushing.
