I have a 1998 tacoma ext. cab 4x4 with manual hubs. the problem I am having is that when I shift into high 4wd the shift knob does not stick in 4high you can move it around to the right-like you are about to go to neutral. Is this normal? It has been a year or two since i last used 4wd. I can't remember if this is normal or if when you shift the knob down into 4high it should stay down and not be loosy-goosy. when i shift down the 4x4 indicator light comes on and i believe the 4wheel drive is working. any help with this will be greatly appreciated. thanks, cdog
