    OK, just thought I would update the project... not a whole lot new going on but I do have a long term project probably for next summer. The only thing that somewhat scares me is the transmission. It had 180k when I put it in and I have put a good many miles on her, probably getting close to 200k. So I have been putting money aside for when it does go. Well while having it re-built I would like to have a marlin crawler adapter put in to convert it to a gear driven, passenger side drop case. From there I would really like to put an FJ80 axle, preferably with an E-locker, and just put leafs in the front for the time being. The guy who built my bumpers said he would help me out with the welding/other labors of SAS. I know people who have cases and I can get them at a good price and I would probably go ahead and have them rebuilt and geared to 4.7

    Whats some of your thoughts on this idea, the ways and nays...

    nice build man! are there lots of trails close to concord? my wife's originally from there. we're moving back next summer and my tacoma's coming with us. :D there's probably a lot more trails there than here on maui...

    the closest trail is about 30 minutes away its called Uwharrie. There are several great trails around the area that are only a few hours away though.
