I had about 750-800 in parts... but I got the tranny, transfer case, front drive shaft and all the shifting knobs need for a steal... I think i paid 250-300? I have a spread sheet somewhere with all my cost, I'm going to have to find it.

That was also when I had stock gears, because I stepped up to 33x12.50R15 Goodyear Duratracs and then did 4.56 Yukon's front and rear with the master install bearing kit.

It really isn't as bad as you would think cost wise, plus you can do manual hubs which = less to go wrong... With all the other stuff I have on my truck + the 4x4 swap I still came out cheaper than if I would have bought a truck of the same year/mileage.

If you have a prerunner the only cutting you would need would be to put the boot on in the cab, prerunner has all the "holes" so to speak for 4wd i know mine even has a fuse in the 4wd hole and the back of my grille and emblem says 4x4

I pussed out on the SAS, plus if I did SAS I would prolly end up tearing my truck up. I have found a 82 on 35's that I may get to play around in

Yeah, sorry man... I just realized I could buy a nice trail-rig for what I would have in it and I wouldnt be worried about messing it up or it breaking and me having no means of transportation... there is a tacoma being SASed at Universal Automotive, maybe you could hit that guy up, if he doesn't already have it sold
