4x4 Wanna Be Come True

yeah, the whole front end is out of a 97-98 tacoma

 

Well I got the sliders today, but can't get them put on until tomorrow...

But I was able to test out my front locker and my skid plate this evening. Me, jerretxx and my buddy who has a sami on 33's played around a lil bit.

you can see a lil bit on that last pic, but the recent scrape was a good one!

 

I have had the sliders on for almost a week now and I finally got some time to take some pictures, but they really don't do them justice! Damien did a great job and thanks again to M.O.B.S. Fab ( www.mobsfab.com )

He made them out of 1.5 in square tubing. He took my ideas and made them better. The main beams he turned on an angle so they would not get hung up as easy.

 

MOD LIST

Drivetrain/Engine: 3.4 DOHC with deck plate mod and K&N, 97 4Runner automatic transmission/manual transfer case, 98 Tacoma front differential with manual hubs.

Suspension: Front: Toytec/Bilstein Coilovers with the 650lb coils (silver) Rear: Toytec AAL, Bilstein 5150's

Front Differential: 4.56 Yukon's with master bearing kit, Spartan Locker, Lucas Synthetic gear oil, Toytec differential drop

Rear Differential: 4.56 Yukon's with master bearing kit, E-locker, Lucas Synthetic gear oil

Tire/Wheel: Goodyear Duratrac 33x12.50R15 on 15x8 Eagle Alloy 185

Armor: Custom front bumper with 8000lb Smittybilt winch, Hella FF75 Fog lights. Custom square tubing sliders and full under-belly skid plate. All done my M.O.B.S. Fab

Stereo: Dual in-dash DVD, 10in JL sub, 2 Pioneer speakers all in a custom box

Odds and Ends: 20% tint, Diamond Plate tool box, Flowmaster Super 40, blacked out tail lights and high mount brake light, Billet grille

Soon to come: Front Suspension: Camburg UCA's. Wheel/Tire: 20in XD Monsters on 33x12.50 Trailgrappler or Toyo's. I'm keeping the 15's to have a "play tire" to wheel and pull with... Armor: Custom rear bumper, probably going to look similar to Relentless' with a few mods And I want to get the bed Rhino Lined

You could always get them just in case... instead of rock slider they can be buggy gaurds lol thats what mine will be doing 95% of the time, but just in case I get a wild hair to try something crazy I want to be ready

i believe you have a type-o, eagle alloy 185 rims instead of procomp

I did the sway bar removal mod today and I must say this is a nice and easy mod you can do in an hour to hour and a half. I just about have it ready for a trip to URE

 

for trucks without a super duper heavy duty skid plate, itll probably take like 30-45 min

 

that did take up a good bit of time. that jack really made things easier... when we doing yurs?

Well me and Jerretxx made a URE run this past weekend and I got to give everything (lockers/skit/sliders) a test and they passed with flying colors! I was able to run all the trails there, including Daniel from the parking lot entrance. Here are a few pics from the weekend.

The front locker was great, not a lot of popping and would pull like a mother...

 

Adam this truck has def taken big steps from when i first saw it but it is a good looking yota. althought you wasted your money on the conversion cause your going to go solid axle one of these days when i can talk you into it. but it is a good looking truck and wheel built...also for everyone looking to do the swap it took about 4 1/2 months just to find the front end for this thing so take your time an be patient and itll turn up
