Thanks! I really liked how functional you made yours and I would like to do something similar to that for fall/winter wheeling/camping. The biggest thing is all the dry storage area. I was lacking big time since I've only got the extra cab.

How do you lay out the inside of yours for you exdepetion's, camping trips, etc...?

So - after 18 pages and Picture viewing -
I know my truck is a driver side drop, why is yours a passenger side? possibly because you did a 4x4 conversion there for used a different/non tacoma t-case??

Nah, but really... I did the 4x4 swap and ran the Tacoma trans/trans case. When I did the solid axle conversion I bought an adapter from Inchworm that aloud me to use the old Toyota, gear driven cases. I wanted to run the Toyota axle so this was the most economical way to do so. Plus, it let me gear the case to 4.7 which = a thing of beauty  Pretty much all I have to do is pull up to a rock and let off the brake.

I guess that makes sense :)
So that's the beauty compared to everyone else running the waggy 44 axles.
Your rig looks good - i like how you didn't throw it on 44 boggers :)

Yeah that's one of the perks... a lot cheaper than a crawl box, that's for sure. Plus I'm just not a huge fan of the D44's. A lot of the guys I wheel with have them in their jeeps and it seems to give them nothing but problems.

Yeah the whole big, bad and loud thing just isn't me... I keep it semi low key. I've actually had a few people come up and ask what kind of lift kit I was running... I guess they thought it was a 6in drop bracket

That was great! Gotta love those Jeep guys... the fact that there wasn't a broken u-joint in there was enough to amaze them

That's heavily dependent on whether the seats are in the bed. If the seats are back there and my boys are riding back there then there isn't much in the bed other than my CO2 tank and the fridge. That's why I have my trailer. All the camping/overland gear goes in the trailer. If it's just me and a passenger then the layout changes if I'm not taking the trailer. the back seats come out of the cab (and the bed) and the fridge/food and camera gear goes into the cab on the deck I built for the rear seat area. In the bed there are usually 4 jerry cans (2 fuel, 2 water) strapped to the front of the bed up against the cab. Then I have my 3 surplus boxes that hold everything else. Spare parts/fluids and 2 tarps in the large box secured right behind the jerry cans. Tools and recovery gear in the other two smaller boxes. Sleeping bags usually go on top of the boxes (if I don't just stuff them into the RTT) and are held down with a bed net.

10-4, I want to start leaning more towards the functional/camping rig and still can get up and over anything in the way. I really like how well prepared you and your truck are. Everything seems to have a place and there is still space to pack more. You probably have on of the best setups I have seen, especially the trailer... I love that thing

I was able to get some better pictures on the truck today. I finally got her all shined up and I ordered a 2in block for the rear. As much as I hate them, I need a new leaf pack but don't have the $$$ plus I figure getting a 2in block to see where it puts me would be cheaper than guessing at a several hundred dollar leaf pack.

I also got some picture from our Windrock trip from Labor Day... enjoy :D

I'm curious how the SAS on 33s combo is working out? Are you hitting the diffs and underside a lot or can you take better lines and avoid that stuff since you have the SAS?
