    6" shackles

    Moved the hanger 7" forward.

why? Koh guys run them and people in baja races. Spacers are tough, but there is better alternatives.

Shouldn't base your brand reliance on what people in a forum tell you, everything said on all forums should be taken with a grain of salt. Much better options than just "the blue ones" people use on this forum.

You can also french them into your frame so the new hangers aren't big rock magnets.

For what I'm looking to do it should be fine. I just didn't see the point in doing the IFS hubs and still having to run a spacer.

She's just about done! Damien got everything in place, all the final welds (sexy as hell!) done, everything's painted. He stayed late tonight getting the cross member finished and painted. Mean while I got the hub bodies put on, got the V6 calipers on... she's slowly yet surely starting to look like a finished product. Tomorrow evening I'm going to finish up with the hubs and I have to put in new seals at the transfer case outputs and swap out the front drive flange. By tomorrow evening she should be on her own weight and rolling. We put the rear under it's own weight and I don't think I'm going to need shackles. The leafs look like they will do, plus they seem to be really soft.

I also picked up my drive shaft tonight. I had Universal Automotive finish off the Trail-Gear shaft. I got the upgraded joint from TG and had Josh go ahead and put new ends on the shaft, also had him use a thicker wall tubing on the extension, so I shouldn't have to worry about this one taking a dump on me

She's standing on her own. I'm going to have to play with the spring size/rate to get it to sit just right. I'm also going to have to get a 2in shackle for the rear. It's not much, but she's mine

All that's left to do is a few b/s things, and he has to modify the old skid plate and put in the tabs for the rear shocks. So close yet so far lol

Looks good! A little more height in the rear please! Looks like about 6" lift up front?

Looking forward to reports from the first test drive!

Thanks bud, I just ordered 2in shackles with new bushings. Yeah it's right at 6"... a little higher than I wanted but I don't think it will be too bad. I'm going to try to play with the height a little bit.

I'm anxious to see how it gets down the road myself...
