@Plkyone that is a clean setup. What lip did you mount to your 4runner bumper swap? I'm waiting to finish my QA1 swap.

You also can go with the 3 1/2” for a super low look! Since I’m going to go about 1” lower with my truck this works perfect!

Just picked up a 2001 Tacoma, and looking around at lowering kits from Belltech (443ND) shows they're only compatible with the 6cyl. Can anyone confirm/deny this? Can you use the same kit on the 4cyl?

I put them in my '02 Taco 2.4 2wd, and they were horrible. Way too stiff for a 4-cylinder. It rode hard and bounced several times over bumps. A year later I took them out and installed the DJM 3/4 kit, and it's been great. No problems other than occasional mild front tire rubbing.

I used Monroe Sensa-Trac shocks for three years and just last month (July '20) I put Belltech 8517 shocks on the rear and KYB Mono Max 565030 shocks on the front. The ride is firm but not harsh--just the way I like it.

    Hope this helps.

Reminds me of my GMC S15 (Chevrolet S10 clone).
I had coils and spindles up front, leafs and blocks in the rear.
This was at a time where a lot of people were heating and cutting coils

I'm running the factory Tacoma front springs. The DJM lowering kit is designed to use the factory springs so you maintain the factory ride quality.

Yes, I can recommend the KYB shocks.
